Until recently, building type structures were widely manufactured for transformer/distribution substations. However, due to reasons such as the long time it takes to manufacture such buildings, the high expropriation costs of areas to install, difficulties of the construction phase and control and the variety of materials used, factory-produced substations are very practical and cost-effective solutions.
